C'est vrai--Son nom était Esmeralda. According to the recently re-opened Picasso Museum, in Spanish to "be like a goat" refers to someone who is whimsical and prone to letting their ideas wander. Picasso with his goat--it fits--Spanish...whimsical...an outside the box thinker. And since Picasso had a goat you can guarantee he painted it. It makes me smile when I think of Esmeralda posing for Picasso😄
Today's classic language moment was also at the Picasso Museum. I struggled with reading the French word "taureau". No problem, I gathered my courage and speaking entirely in French asked the friendly lady beside me what the word meant in English. She answered entirely in English "I speak German but I'm pretty sure it says boy cow". You have to give the other tourists something to talk about--right?
We now own a chunk of the best butter in the world (Bordier) and have tasted the best gelato in Paris (Pozzetto). Living and loving the city of lights.
You are Always in My Prayers. Love Mom.
