Tucked behind Notre Dame, at the tip of Île de la Cité, rests Mémorial des Martyrs de la Déportation. This sobering monument and small, but powerful, museum reminds us of the 200 000 who were deported from France to Nazi Concentration camps during WWII. Striking is the map detailing how many were lost from each region of France. As we exit an inscription reminds us--Forgive but Never Forget.
You are Always in My Prayers. Love Mom.
