This morning we were scheduled to deliver the shoes and school supplies to the Swaziland school. Cyclone Dino had other plans. The powerful rains and winds coming off the Indian Ocean made the roads impassable. Although it would have been lovely to meet the students, safety comes first. Leonard, a representative of the school, was able to meet us at the glass factory and pick up the items. He says a big thank you!
Ngwenya glass factory was probably my favourite activity today. The gifted artists at the factory turn recycled glass into African animals, birds and fish. Dad bought an elephant (of course) and you will be able to see it when we get back. This is a project where everyone wins. Glass gets recycled. People get jobs. Beautiful things are created. It is still very wet, but we are safely at a nice hotel back in South Africa. You are Always in my Prayers. Love Mom.

We are very excited that our supplies made it to Africa! Did they like the school supplies? Were they happy to receive the supplies?

Now that the cyclone is over we were able to update the text in the post. That should tell you about the school. The man spoke swaizi....most people in Swaiziland speak swaizi or Zulu and everyone seems to speak the common la gauge of English
