The Sun is out in Blyde River Canyon. Blyde River means River of Joy. It is a beautiful Saturday in South Africa and we are feeling that joy.

On average it is 750 m deep but at its deepest point it can be comsidered over 1300 m deep. Anyways, standing on the edge and looking down it looked like a long way to the bottom

Yes, we went on both bridges. We rode in a bus to the canyon and it was about a 20 minuate walk down to the bridge and longer to get up😄

It was a really solid bridge, but if you went on the rocks and looked down it was deep enough that you felt a little dizzy. I think you could walk to the canyon at night but it would be really dark. There were no lights and it was a little slippery.

We were wondering if you could estimate how wide the bridge was and how far you could see down the river?

They are pedestrian bridges so they are not very long. We could see about 400 m down the canyon before it took a bend. You can tell from how small the people are about his Big the bridge is.
