Road Trip--La Belle Province--so much more than a passageway to the Maritime Provinces! I know that you are thinking that is easy for me to say as a demi-grenouille (Uncle David joke). However, even with your father's brutal brush with grade nine French he a managed to order raspberry tofu "ice-cream" in Rivière-du-Loup.
After a couple of days hugging the highway along the St. Lawrence we travelled an hour south to Saint-Eusèbe. Enter paradise--where the stars truly shine unaffected by light pollution! Whether I was floating down the creek with Kiwi, or refining my Kubota driving skills on my way to the cabin, I felt blessed to be in this exceptionally beautiful part of Canada. I even caught a giant trout, which Uncle David cooked up for breakfast. Disclosure: having failed to successfully fish the creek I claimed my catch in the fully stocked trout pond.
A huge shout out to my brother David and Brigitte for being such incredible hosts. Great adventures do come to an end, but we are still savouring the new potatoes, farm fresh eggs, and of course maple syrup that our gracious hosts sent home with us.
You are Always in my Prayers. Love Mom.
P.S. On the way how we dropped by the world-class Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec to see the works of Listowel's own Horatio Walker.
