We were on the boat for about 20 hours. The deck was covered by a layer of mattresses. About 4 feet above that was a cloth canopy which gave shade. At night we just slept on deck. We did not see a lot of wildlife along the banks. We did see some waterfowl and lesser egrets.

We were looking at the post and we realized that there was a red , white and green flag and a red , white and black flag and we were wondering why?

The red white and black flag is the flag of Egypt (it has a golden colured Egyptian eagle of centered in the white band). The other is a red flag flying above a green flag. The green flag was the Brazilian flag, not sure why they were flying it, I suspect there is a football connection.

Why does it look like there is blood on the boat in the picture with Mr. Homewood

That sounds so peaceful... sailing, swimming, sleeping, and eating! No pyramid claustrophobia there!

Can you tell us more about the delicious Egyptian food? What food did you eat?

They serve a lot of rice and chicken, but my favourite are the falafels and flat breads. I love the humus too.
