Salam lekum. There aren't enough superlatives to describe our day yesterday--it was magical....simply magical! We traveled by 4x4 through the dessert where we enjoyed a picnic in an oasis and traditional Moroccan dance. Then it was off to meet our dromedaries. We approached the peak of Erg Chebbi just before sunset. We settled in on the Moroccan carpets placed at the top of our ascent to enjoy God's unique light show. Chills--honestly--absolute chills! I get emotional just thinking about it. Special thanks to Boomaley--the best dromedary in the world😄 Hope you enjoy Dad's video. Watch for the Berber sledding. You are Always in My Prayers. Love Mom.

Looks so beautiful with the sunset!!! Is it one of the most beautiful places in Africa to go? Or is there many more!?

We have only been to Ethiopia and Morocco. Some of our sons have been to Ghana, Zimbabwee, South Africa and many more. Just as Canada is beautiful and different than Morocco I am going to guess that each African country has its own special beauty. I hope to visit many more African countries.

The weather is sunny and warm We just came back from walking on the beach. An oasis is a spot along a river or some other source of water usually marked by lots of palm trees, and a small village. Our was in the desert and the source of water was irrigation from a well.

We did see a tourist from another group walk back after the sunset, but I just didn't get it, I would rather ride a camel.

Is the landscape throughout morroco always that dry and sandy?

Morocco does have a small amount of rainfall, but where we are right now looks like southern Ontario in the spring--nice and green. And of course in the high atlas we had snow.
