The Louvre is closed on Tuesday; so it was a perfect day to visit the M'O (The Musée d'Orsay). The M'O is unique in that it is housed in a former railway station built in the 1800's. It has the largest collection of impressionist and post-Impressionist masterpieces in the world. Even if you are not familiar with this era, most people have heard of Starry Night by Van Gogh--tethered in the M'O!
We spent so long at Musée d'Orsay that we somehow forgot to eat lunch. That meant we HAD to stop for street food at our local Crêpe stand-- "Deux Crêpes avec sucre and citron s'il vous plaît"--yum. This is a very French experience. While our Crêpe-man was cooking up our lunch a friend dropped by with his lottery winnings. The friend dropped his cigarette ashes on my Crêpe. No problem, Crêpe-man just blew them off and kept cooking. Again--yum😄
I think our French is improving (slightly) as now, more often than not, when I speak in French my victim replies in French.
Living and Loving the city of lights. You are Always in my Prayers. Love Mom.
